Converting media files
The Converter allows you to convert your media files to another file format.
Step-by-Step: Converting media files

Switch to the Converter view.

Click
Files > Add files... or drag and drop files from a playlist.

Choose the files to convert.

Click Open. The files appear on the list in the Converter view.

Important: For files marked with a red padlock symbolFor all files marked with a red padlock symbol, please make sure that you have sufficient rights to play the files with your playback software before you continue. Remember to check your music service subscriptions, too.
, you need to be able to play them back in order to have XStream Xtra convert them by re-recording.

Click the menu button with the name of the current conversion setting in the processing window to choose a target format (see Figure 1).

Click
Start to start the converting process.
Note: For best results, do not perform other tasks which would cause processor workload during the conversion.
Results
All files that finished converting move from the input list to the Player.
Tip: The original file is not modified by the conversion. This guarantees you cannot destroy any file. If a conversion result does not meet your expectations, simply convert the original file once more, using different settings.

Choose a conversion profile or create an own individual profile.
Convert media files to burn them to DVD
- Start XStream Xtra.
- In the conversion section, choose Optimized for burning to DVD from the list of available conversion settings.
- Start working with XStream Xtra as usual. All recorded files will automatically be converted.
- To burn mediafiles to a DVD, follow these instructions: Burning CDs and DVDs.
Note: You need to playback the DVDs with a DIVX-compatible DVD player.
