Find a station by it's name and listen to it or record it. - Automatic recording of multiple stations
Whenever you start a mass recording XStream Xtra will record multiple stations according to the currently shown category. - Live listening to internet radio
You can listen to radio stations without recording them. - Adding a radio station manually
In case you cannot find an Internet radio station in XStream Xtra you can add the station to the XStream Xtra station list manually. - Scheduled radio recording
You can program scheduled recordings to let XStream Xtra record a certain radio station at a given time, automatically. - Specifying which stations are displayed
You can hide stations with low sound quality or a certain stream type by specifying settings according to your choice. Your settings affect the number of shown radio stations. - Avoiding duplicate media files
Recording processes sometimes create several copies of one song in your output folder. You can avoid that by setting filters which are based on the files in your existing collection and on the files already recorded by XStream Xtra.

Yellow star | This symbol denotes radio stations that are included in your favorites. |

Bar graph | This symbol denotes the popularity of a station. The greater the number of bars indicated, the greater the popularity among XStream Xtra users. |

Green arrow | This symbol denotes both ongoing recordings, as well as buttons that can be used to start recording or converting. |

Yellow arrow | This symbol denotes stations which are recorded, but their currently playing song will be discarded. This is because the song would be incomplete, since it began playing before recording was started. The station will enter normal recording state as soon as a new song begins. Note: If the yellow arrow even after a longer recording won't turn green the station might be unsuitable for recordings with automatic song cutting feature. Anyhow you have the opportunity to record this station continously. Later you may edit your continuous recordings to cut the songs manually. |

Radio with white eye | This symbol indicates that some stations are hidden due to customized settings for station quality. The eye symbol vanishes if you change the quality settings back to default, or if you choose even less restrictive settings. Click Manage bitrates and stream types to experiment with the quality settings or to change them back to default. |

Empty gray arrow | This symbol denotes stations that are not suitable for recordings with automatic song cutting features. Anyhow you have the opportunity to record these stations continuously. Later you may edit your continuous recordings to cut the songs manually. Note: Generally speaking, every station can be used for recordings. However, the automatic song cutting features are only expected to function for those stations that are indicated as being suitable. |

Filled gray arrow | This symbol denotes stations that are suitable for recordings with automatic song cutting features. The fuller the arrow, the greater the amount of songs that can be recorded per hour. |
