The Media center

If you would like to manage your entire media collection, Media center provides you with such options. Player not only helps you playback your media files, but also helps you create playlists, export media files and edit tags.

The Media center

The Media center clearly arranges and displays your music and media collection. The Media center also helps you organize your existing music collection and new recordings. It also offers editing features and copies files from your computer to other playback devices or cloud storage services.

What you can do with the Media center.

Find a media file

To find a media file, enter the name of the media file in the Filter text box. Double click the matching media file to play it.

You can set a custom standard storage. All recordings will be saved on the selected storage automatically.

Note: Button unavailable? You can only change the standard storage when no recordings are currently running. Stop all recording processes and try again.

Symbols used for the Player

Symbol Description Meaning
1 Green check mark This symbol denotes reviewed media files in a playlist.
1 List with red X This symbol labels the button for removing a media file from a playlist.
1 Blue arrow

This symbol denotes linked audio files in a playlist. Linked files are not saved on your computer.

Whenever you use the music search, you have the possibility to add a link to your playlist instead of actually downloading the file. Linked files can be played as long as the URL is valid and your computer is connected to the Internet.

You cannot edit tags of linked files.

1 Filmstrip with blue arrow This symbol denotes linked video files in a playlist.
1 Euro This symbol denotes songs in your playlist that have been purchased from Amazon.

Symbol Description Meaning
1 List with a green plus This symbol labels the button for adding files to the currently selected playlist.
1 Photo This symbol denotes files that are neither audio nor video files. This can e.g. be cover pictures (image files).
1 Yellow LED display This symbol denotes your Anywhere connection status. Yellow means active and waiting for data transfer.
1 Green LED display This symbol denotes your Anywhere connection status. Green means ongoing data transfer.
